I bought a few sets w/ trim and this valve (at least a valve with divert on) on 2005~2006, price is <$50. So you can understand why US$ is not gold. It is not even paper now, it is digit on Computer and those 1% use their fingers to create money.
I added three of these valves on 2005 and one on 2010, faucets are bought in two years and installed by two installers and later on on 2010 there did of complain due to little stream, they somehow fixed it. The valves are heavy. I read other reviews, doubt whether problems came during transfer of mfg to Asia and hope they are fixed now.
Till now no leak for all four valves thus no complain. Yet I feel the coating may be not shining after a year. Not sure the plate coating did in Asia or not. China coating quality is different from factory to factory and price to price.
If you want made in US buy old style products. If you find products are very similar from China/Asia of those in US, then those from USA top brands may just be OEM. Similar prodcuts from China may not have same quality. When top faucet price in China is $100+, top resellers in US will list them 2-3X. Rich American, poor American!Please Check Update Here!!
