I am not excited about this item, partly because it does not control the volume of the water, only the temperature. When you look at the installed pics with the faceplate mounted, you are tempted to think it works like all the other faucets, tilt AND turn, for volume AND temperature. So be aware that you will always have your water running full blast with this!
The other reason is the fact that the aforementioned lever feels very flimsy, I can only hope it will last for a while. Would I not have already installed this valve under my tiles, I would have exchanged it for a cheaper or better product by now. I bought this based on my previous good experiences with Grohe products, but this item is definitely not up to the same standards. I also noticed that this valve is made in Canada, while all my faucets were made in Germany, perhaps this is something to pay closer attention to?
