I have had any of these faucets for over 20 years and it probably was put in 30 years ago. My house was a Bed & morning meal so it was used a lot. It is only now leaking a limited bit. I am replacing it more for looks, they look a limited worn from years of use. I am also refinishing the tubs and its a good time to change out. This faucet with its shower diverter has worked perfectly and is a cheaper alternative to the very expensive (although more beautiful)faucets that they have for clawfoot tubs. If you have a spare concentrate of hundred dollars and want the look more than function, the other faucets are great! But this is a good option for those on a budget. I'm glad to have a option since I have more than one tub to refurbish.
